I am a qualified dog trainer offering one to one dog training, group classes and pet services to owners living within and around Neath Port Talbot and Swansea.
I have worked alongside dogs and their owners since 2005. I started working with dogs at a dog grooming salon at the age of 15, where my curiosity of dog behaviour started. I continued working at the dog grooming salon for almost 8 years and then went on to work in a well established pet store which lasted around 2 years. I have worked as a dog trainer since 2014.
My training methods
I class myself as a 'force free' or 'positive/modern dog trainer' which means I use theories of learning which are based on basic behavioural psychology in order to help your dog learn. My training methods involve reward based learning - which has been scientifically proven to get the best results within all animal training. I avoid the use of force, fear and intimidation in training, as this has been proven to create more problematic behaviours further down the line.
Dog training is a highly under regulated industry, meaning anyone can become a dog trainer without the need for qulifications or experience. I am continuously developing my skills and knowledge by completing courses, attending seminars and through scientific research. I became a qualified dog trainer through the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers in 2016.

- Diploma in canine behaviour
- Level 3 OCN qualification in the principles of dog training and behaviour.
